Introducing Our Small Projects Division

Josh Beasley, Service Manager | Dow Smith Company | Small Projects Division

Let’s face it. All businesses, large or small, have been affected in one way or another by the coronavirus outbreak. Some have had to modify the way they work while others have had to shut down completely.

While we’re all searching for answers, one thing is certain: Someday, hopefully soon, businesses will be able to return to serving their clients. Many businesses are looking for ways they can be best prepared for that day.

The silver lining for some businesses has been that the down time has given them a chance to catch up on maintenance projects they’ve been putting off. Though Dow Smith Company has built a reputation in our community as a design-build company, our Small Projects Division is also here to help with maintenance or small repairs such as:

  • drywall repair

  • gutter cleaning

  • pressure washing

  • door repair and adjustments

  • door hardware and locks

  • concrete patching and repair

  • towel and toilet paper dispenser replacement

  • storage room racks and shelving

  • conferencing / video room modifications

  • and any other small construction project or maintenance item

Ed Davenport, Executive Vice President at Southern Bank of Tennessee, has used Dow Smith Company for nearly 20 years for projects ranging from new construction and major remodels to small jobs like the ones listed above.

“We’ve been extremely pleased with the service we’ve gotten,” Davenport said. “The work is always excellent and the best thing is his employees are so considerate of our employees and clients. He’s worked at our business while it was closed and also found ways to get work done while we’re open. I would highly recommend Dow Smith Company.”

To ensure safety and adhere to the best practices as outlined by the CDC, Dow Smith Company is taking additional safety measures on all job sites. These safety measures include:

  • workers maintain CDC safe distance recommendations

  • stepped up jobsite hygiene, including additional hand wash stations

  • no-share policy for hand tools

  • on-site monitoring for COVID-19 symptoms
