When I heard that Bubba Woodfin passed away, so many wonderful memories came to my mind.

Yes, I too have had the great experience of working with Bubba when we had to make final arrangements for the loss of loved ones, but I will always be indebted to Bubba Woodfin and Woodfin Memorial Chapel when they chose Dow Smith Company to build their new funeral home in 2000 to replace the one that got burned in a fire.

It was such an honor for him and Jerry Lowery to give their trust to me and my team during that time of crisis for them. Bubba trusting me opened so many doors for DSC. If Bubba could trust DSC, a lot of other people felt that they too could trust DSC. I will always be grateful for that trust.

I can’t help but smile ear to ear when I think of the wonderful memories of working with Bubba Woodfin and Jerry Lowery on their current Murfreesboro chapel and renovating their Smyrna chapel. Such great people.

Such a wonderful legacy.

1 of 19 Cocktails and Raw Bar Opens in Downtown Murfreesboro

We recently completed work on 1 of 19 Cocktails and Raw Bar. The new bar and restaurant, located at 103 N. Maple Street in Murfreesboro, is open now. 1 of 19 is owned by Shawn and Christy Hackinson, the owners of the popular downtown Murfreesboro restaurant The Alley on Main. The Alley on Main is known for its steak, seafood, and scratch-made pasta dishes.

When the Hackinsons decided to open a cocktail bar around the corner from The Alley on Main, they knew exactly who to call.
