Fueled By A Passion To See Others Succeed

As a personal trainer for the past two decades, Dana Hampton has worked with her clients to create healthy meals that will keep them full and fuel their active lifestyles. She loves talking to clients about the sweet treats they can’t imagine living without—and then finding a way to make a healthy version.

In 2018, Dana had a hunch that the recipes she’d come up with might be the secret ingredients for starting a business. She left her full-time job as an executive at Target and started spending more time than ever before in the kitchen. A year later, she’d had enough success that her husband, Sonny Hampton, left his job as a pharmacist and the couple went all-in on Protein Snack Shop.

Improving the User Experience at New Vision Baptist Church

In 2017, New Vision Baptist Church was approached by the City of Murfreesboro about selling some land to make way for new projects coming to town. New Vision agreed, and it got a few acres in return from the City, back behind the church. This changed the church’s footprint and complicated some already complex parking issues. The church was able to add 360 parking spaces, but the spaces weren’t near a convenient entrance.

Case Studies: Medical Practice Construction

Many medical practices start in hospitals or commercial centers—but also with a dream to one day have a permanent home in a stand-alone building.

For example, when Dr. Josh Garrett’s Integrity Eye Care started outgrowing his suite at Stones River Town Centre in Murfreesboro a few years ago, he knew it was finally time to design and build his own facility. He knew it was a big step, and it would be necessary to get the building just right for his staff and patients.

Who's On First?

When you work with Dow Smith Company to construct a new building, a tenant build-out, a renovation, or an addition to an existing facility, you’ll likely encounter a lot of our folks along the way. As design-builders, we can take a rough idea in your head and see it through the entire construction process to the day you open your doors for business.

We have a dedicated staff and we’re all here to serve you. So, because construction is complex and there are many moving parts, we want to make sure you know what everyone’s role is.

Answering The Needs of our Clients Every step of the Way

When Dr. Jeff Leech opened his new dental office on Memorial Boulevard this year, he was all smiles.

Leech first started working with Dow Smith Company a decade ago, when DSC built out a space for him in a suite on Old Fort Parkway. But, the successful Leech Family Dentistry added patients quickly and, before he knew it, Leech had a problem.

In Memory of Bubba Woodfin

When I heard that Bubba Woodfin passed away, so many wonderful memories came to my mind.

Yes, I too have had the great experience of working with Bubba when we had to make final arrangements for the loss of loved ones, but I will always be indebted to Bubba Woodfin and Woodfin Memorial Chapel when they chose Dow Smith Company to build their new funeral home in 2000 to replace the one that got burned in a fire.

How is Dow Smith Company Different Than Other General Contractors?

During this time of global reset, everybody is being forced to make changes. We have used this time as an opportunity to take a deep look at ourselves, at Dow Smith Company and to discover who we really are and how we are different than other general contractors and design-build companies.

We recently started a journey by adopting the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS). EOS has helped us get focused, clarify our company’s vision and achieve traction in an effort to become a healthy, focused leadership team and organization that makes continual progress towards achieving our goals and vision. In doing so, we have discovered three things that are unique to Dow Smith Company:

The Heartbeat of This Project Is the Next Generation

When the leaders at LifePoint Church in Smyrna decided they wanted to make some changes to their facility, they didn’t have to look far to find the right person for the job.

Dow Smith Company Partner and Design-Builder Joey Rhyne has attended the church for 18 years and has served on LifePoint’s board of directors several times.
