Project Delivery: Design-Build
Project Scope: New warehouse and office building
Global Product Sources, LLC (GPS) is a premier global sourcing company, helping with the ideation, sourcing, and delivery of innovative products to their clients. This design-build project involved the construction of a 9,520-square-foot warehouse and 4,000-square-foot office. The building consists of a contemporary pre-engineered metal structure with a decorative stone façade.
With limited access to the building site and shared use with a neighboring retailer, the Dow Smith team had to be creative with site development and scheduling. Additionally, working through the City’s permit process, all while meeting GPS’s manufacturing needs, proved to be challenging.
Despite these obstacles, the Dow Smith team was able to deliver a modern-style structure and open office space that matched the culture of GPS. Special rigging equipment was installed in the warehouse to assist with the production of LED screens and a solar-powered electrical system was designed to offset GPS’s electrical costs. This project was a success thanks to a close relationship with and constant communication between the design team and GPS.
When designing and building a church, the process is far more than just creating a functional space. It’s about crafting a place of worship, community, and ministry that reflects the heart and vision of your congregation. But with so many moving parts—budgets, timelines, stakeholder input, and ministry needs—it’s easy for the process to feel overwhelming. That’s why we recommend starting with a Three-Day Design Charrette at Dow Smith Company. This intensive, collaborative event brings all your key stakeholders together to align on vision, goals, and practical steps before the design and construction process begins. You’re building a legacy. Let’s make it a great one.
