Premier VetCare

Owner: Dr. Mike Hatcher
Location: 13197 Old Nashville Highway, Smyrna, Tennessee
Project Delivery: Design-Build
Project Scope: Pre-construction services and new construction of a veterinary care facility
Dr. Hatcher’s five-year lease was due to expire and his existing location could not accommodate future growth. We began by helping Dr. Hatcher perform due diligence on potential sites and helped him make his final site selection.
The new 6,600-square-foot facility includes exam rooms, surgical suites, procedure rooms, a pharmacy and overnight accommodations for pets. The new facility has allowed Dr. Hatcher to hire more providers and to expand his practice.
In addition, we were able to assist Dr. Hatcher and his wife, Stacey, in constructing a facility for their other business, Creature Comforts Kennel, an 8,000-square-foot facility constructed adjacent to Premier VetCare.
When it comes to establishing or expanding a commercial operation, one of the most critical decisions business owners and executives face is whether to lease a commercial space or build a ground-up facility. Both options have their merits, and the choice ultimately depends on your business goals, financial situation, and long-term vision. As a design-build firm, we understand the complexities of this decision and aim to provide clarity on the benefits and advantages of each option.
