LaVergne First United Methodist Church
Location: LaVergne, Tennesse
Project Scope: New church addition and renovations
LaVergne First United Methodist Church is a multi-generational congregation having experienced immense growth over the last several years. It became unclear how best to serve their parishioners, so the church’s building committee sought the assistance of Dow Smith Company. Our team developed a master plan for the church, outlining phases of construction that included a new fellowship hall, sanctuary, as well as renovations of existing educational and administrative space. The project also included the conversion of the original fellowship hall into a foyer and welcome center for patrons. Despite the challenges associated with performing construction while the church remained open, our team was able to complete the project in nine months.
Join us on a poignant episode of “From The Ground Up,” as host Taylor Loyal sits down with Jason Surratt, City President and Senior Vice President at Volunteer State Bank and a past president of the Smyrna Rotary Club. This week, Taylor and Jason explore the integral roles that banking and community service play in building and supporting the fabric of Smyrna.
